Soil Moisture Measurement
We have decades of experience in creating premium-grade instruments for soil moisture measurement and recording. Our moisture sensors, data loggers (with cloud connectivity) and readout units are built to exacting standards - ensuring ruggedness, longevity, and optimum performance throughout their life. They are trusted by researchers world-wide and are suited to a variety of soil moisture measurement applications and budgets. We provide sensors that measure soil water content, soil temperature, soil water potential and pore water conductivity. Measurements can be made in-situ, with the sensor connected to a data logger - or on the move with a handheld meter.
Our WS-GP1 is an affordable research-grade weather station supplied as a portable, ready-to-use package. The high grade sensors make the WS-GP1 a good choice for research, agricultural and environmental applications. We also offer the advanced WS-GP2 Weather Station system which is based on the powerful GP2 Data Logger. It has the flexibility to handle almost any environmental sensor allowing users to select the optimal combination of sensors, logger, power and communications for their application. Both stations can be supplied with a GPRS modem for remote communications and are compatible with our DeltaLINK-Cloud online data storage, management and sharing service.
Solar Radiation Sensor Measurement
Our solar radiation measurement instruments are well suited to scientific research, meteorology, and commercial photovoltaic validation/monitoring. Our range includes the SPN1 Sunshine Pyranometer and BF5 Sunshine Sensor. Both measure global (total) and diffuse radiation, and sunshine state (in a single instrument) and have no moving parts. The SPN1 features a precision glass dome and uses a thermopile array to measure the direct and diffuse components of solar radiation. Output from an SPN1 allows calculation of DNI (Direct-Normal Irradiance). The BF5 is well suited to plant science and building energy management. It offers a more affordable alternative to the SPN1.
Delta-T Devices has provided high quality instrumentation for plant physiology and intercepted solar radiation studies for over 40 years. Our instruments include the SS1 SunsScan - for measuring Leaf Area Index in crop canopies, and the HemiView system - for obtaining and analysing hemispherical images of forest canopies; enabling calculation of Leaf Area Index and gap fraction. Our range also includes the AP4 Porometer - which measures stomatal conductance, and the WinDIAS system - which quantifies healthy/diseased leaf area. The WinDIAS system offers a sophisticated conveyor belt option, which enables the analysis of up to 800 leaves per hour.
